Often, housewives, without further ado, use ketchup for this purpose, which has long been included in the list of products that can be found in any refrigerator.

However, such a gesture is a gross mistake. At least, this is what seasoned chefs think.

In their opinion, ketchup is only good for serving with cooked meat, fish, vegetables or spaghetti.

But ketchup is completely unsuitable for the role of sauce, either for pizza or pasta.

Instead, famous chefs recommend using tomato paste or tomato puree with the addition of aromatic herbs and spices.

By the way, spreading mayonnaise on the pizza crust is also out of the question.
