To make sure your chicken shashlik turns out delicious and just melts in your mouth, you need to use the right marinade.
This is exactly what we are in a hurry to share with you today – simple and original at the same time.
We are talking about tomato-cinnamon marinade. Although the name sounds rather strange, you will definitely like the result – the meat will taste amazing, with a light aroma that awakens the appetite.
For 1 kg of chicken fillet you will need:
- 1 packet of tomato paste;
- 1 lemon (large);
- 3-4 cloves of garlic;
- some olive oil;
- chili pepper, ground pepper mix, ground cinnamon and smoked ground paprika – to taste.
Cut the chicken into approximately equal pieces of medium size and place them in a container where they will marinate.
Peel the garlic and press it through a garlic press, then mix with lemon juice, tomato paste, olive oil, salt and spices – peppers, cinnamon and paprika.
Mix all ingredients thoroughly and marinate the meat in the resulting mixture.
Now cover the container with the future shashlik with a lid and put it in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
