How to Make Crumbly Beer Dough: A Super Option for Pies, Cookies, and Pizza

The dough prepared according to this recipe is in no way inferior to puff pastry: it is quite crumbly and at the same time solid.

Its main advantage is its universal nature: this dough is perfect for baking both sweet and savory pies, the basis for thin pizza or making cookies.

To prepare the dough, you will need 1 glass of light beer and a couple more ingredients:

  • 3 cups flour;
  • 300 g butter.

It’s great if you have a chopper in your kitchen – all you have to do is pour flour into the bowl, add cold butter, cover with a lid and press the button a couple of times.

As a result, you will get uniform crumbs.

Now it’s time to add salt, sugar and other ingredients (depending on what you’re going to cook).

Next, pour in the cold beer, cover with a lid and turn on the grinder again for 10 seconds.

All of the above operations can be done manually, the main thing is not to knead everything for too long.

Form a ball from the dough, wrap it in film or place it in a bag and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Even though the dough is very soft and rolls out without any problems, don't forget to sprinkle one work surface with flour.
