Did you know that sorrel can be used as an excellent filling for pies?
We will reveal the recipe for one of these desserts to you today. To prepare a sorrel pie, you will need:
- 300 g sorrel;
- 170 g sugar;
- 120 g flour;
- 4 eggs;
- 1 teaspoon baking powder.
Wash the greens thoroughly, dry and chop finely.
The eggs need to be beaten thoroughly until foam forms, after which sugar should be added and beaten again.
Next up is the sifted flour and baking powder. Mix the dough with a whisk for the last time to avoid lumps. It will be quite runny.
Pour some of the dough into a form covered with parchment paper, then add the sorrel. Then more dough, sorrel, and so on. The last layer should be dough.
All that remains is to put the future pie in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
