Even if you have the last package of cheap rice left in your kitchen cupboard that doesn’t shine with quality, don’t despair – you can make a delicious side dish from this grain.
For 200 grams of rice you will need:
- 350 ml boiling water;
- 100 g butter;
- salt – to taste.
First, rinse the rice – do this until the water becomes clear.
Once the procedure is complete, leave the cereal for a while to dry.
Now you can put a frying pan with a thick bottom on the fire, into which you first need to put the butter, and then the rice.
Turn the heat to maximum and don’t rush to move away from the stove – the rice bathing in oil needs to be stirred constantly.
This way the grains will be soaked in oil and will acquire a creamy hue.
All that remains is to add boiling water (be careful not to burn yourself), add salt and cook the rice under a closed lid over low heat until done, that is, about 20 minutes.
