Despite the fact that cabbage rolls contain only budget ingredients, the dish looks very impressive and is suitable even for a festive table.
To prepare it you will need:
- 2 chicken breasts;
- 300 g cabbage;
- 1 small carrot;
- 4 tablespoons boiled rice;
- 1 egg;
- 10 tablespoons flour;
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste.
First, prepare the filling. To do this, chop the onion, grate the carrots and shred the cabbage.
Now move all the ingredients into a frying pan or multicooker bowl, add salt to taste (you can also add a pinch of sugar) and fry for 10 minutes in vegetable oil.
After the required time, stir the vegetables, add tomato paste, which should first be diluted in 0.5 cups of water, and simmer for 20 minutes.
After the specified number of minutes, add boiled rice and, if necessary, salt and spices – the filling is ready.
While the filling is cooking, take care of the meat. Cut the breast into slices (like chops), beat lightly, salt and pepper.
All that remains is to put the filling on the chicken blanks and roll them into rolls, which need to be rolled in breading - first in flour, then in a beaten egg and again in flour. Fry the cabbage rolls in reverse until golden brown in vegetable oil - this will take about 20 minutes.
