So, first you need to melt 30-50 g of butter in a frying pan and add 3-4 tablespoons of olive oil to it.
Now add 100 g of pearl barley and fry it over medium heat until it changes color, stirring continuously.
Now you should add 1.5-2 cups of water to the pan - the exact volume depends on the size of the pan.
Make sure that the liquid covers the cereal by one finger, then cover the pan with a lid and leave for 15-20 minutes, turning on medium heat.
All that remains is to add 100 g of buckwheat, salt, add water and continue cooking under the lid until the cereal is soft.
That's it: 3-4 servings of delicious side dish are ready.
