Great Lent has been going on for several weeks now, which involves a number of restrictions not only in diet, but also in lifestyle in general.

And if you can still refuse to watch a comedy show, then you always want to eat. Here is one interesting recipe for those who are not on a diet, but fasting.

You can bake buns with poppy seeds and nuts without eggs, butter or dairy products.

To prepare you will need:

  • flour - 250 g;
  • baking powder - 8 g;
  • sugar - 50 g;
  • water - 100 ml;
  • vegetable oil - 40 g;
  • poppy seeds - 100 g;
  • walnuts - 100 g;
  • sugar - 120 g;
  • salt.

How to cook

The dough is kneaded in water, to which vegetable oil, sugar and salt must be added.

Separately mix the sifted flour and baking powder, then add it to the water and knead the dough.

After kneading, wrap the dough in cling film and leave in a warm place for 30 minutes.

At this time, you need to soak the poppy seeds in warm water (for 30 minutes), fry the walnut kernels in the oven (170 degrees Celsius) or in a frying pan.

Drain the water from the poppy seeds, mix with nuts and sugar and grind into a puree using a blender.

Roll out the dough with a rolling pin, shape it into a rectangle, distribute the filling evenly and roll it into a roll.

Cut it into 3 cm wide pieces and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes.

Bon appetit!
