It is not always possible to buy all the products needed to prepare your next culinary masterpiece at the nearest supermarket.

For example, if regular condensed milk can be found on the shelf in almost every store, then boiled milk is not so easy to find, so you have to take what you have, in the hope of boiling the product at home.

However, there are several features in cooking condensed milk that must be taken into account.

So, first of all, it’s worth getting rid of the label – it will come off during the cooking process anyway, and fishing out flakes of paper from boiling water is not much fun.

In addition, some housewives put the jar in a plastic bag and then tie it up - according to them, such a clever move helps them prevent the saucepan from getting contaminated with glue.

To cook condensed milk, you need to find a large saucepan and fill it with water so that the liquid is 5 cm higher than the jar.

Make sure that the jar is covered with water throughout the cooking process.

Now turn the stove to maximum and wait until the water boils, then reduce the heat to minimum and cover the pan with a lid.

The cooking process takes on average from 2.5 to 3.5 hours - the longer the condensed milk is cooked, the thicker it will be. Due to the cooking time, we recommend using a timer so that the can left unattended does not explode.

After the milk has boiled, leave it to cool without removing it from the pan.
