It is customary to use cool places for storing cabbage, including a balcony, cellar or basement.

However, severe frosts can ruin your plans for preserving your harvest.

However, do not rush to get rid of even frozen vegetables. Of course, everything depends on how frozen the vegetables are.

If the frost only affected the light leaves, there is a high probability that the cabbage will remain fresh inside.

In such a situation, you can get rid of the frozen part and use the vegetable to make cabbage rolls or salads.

If the damage is more severe, cut the head of cabbage into two halves and leave them at room temperature for about an hour.

Another option is to put the frozen cabbage in the refrigerator for 3 days, then cover the head with a towel and keep it at room temperature for a few more hours.

This cabbage is suitable for pickling or marinating. But the best option would be to prepare dishes in which the vegetable is subjected to long-term heat treatment.
