If you forgot about a bag of milk left in the refrigerator and it went sour, do not rush to get rid of the spoiled product.

Instead, treat your family to a pie, pies or sausages in dough - after all, you already have the main ingredient for making the dough. So, you will need:

  • 500 ml sour milk,
  • 1 kg flour,
  • 2 eggs,
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil,
  • 8 g dry yeast,
  • Sugar,
  • Salt.

To begin, dissolve the yeast in a quarter cup of warm water.

An egg and one yolk (the white will be useful for greasing) should be ground with sugar and salt. If you decide to make sweet pies, take 2 teaspoons of sugar and 0.5 teaspoon of salt. For pies with unsweetened filling, everything should be done the other way around.

Dough

Now add butter to the bowl and whisk. Next in line is milk, while adding it you should continuously work with a whisk.

After this, pour the yeast into the dough, and then add the flour. The dough should be soft and not stick to your hands.

Leave the prepared pie base in a warm place for an hour – this time will be enough for the dough to double in volume.

Since the resulting dough is quite large, it can be divided into two parts and the second part can be put in the freezer.

Important: after you form the pies, leave them for about 20 minutes to rise. All that remains is to grease the finished products with egg whites, whipped with a spoon of cold water, and you can start baking at 230 degrees.
