White cabbage is often used in cooking.

But it happens that you need to add not a whole head of cabbage to a dish, but only half. It is unlikely that anyone would want to throw away the rest of the vegetable. After all, cabbage can still be useful for making salads or soups on another day.

But how to properly store fruit in the refrigerator so that it does not spoil?

Experienced housewives know a few tricks.

The first method involves wrapping half of the head of cabbage in newspaper and then in a bag. Instead of newspaper, you can also use paper towels or paper that absorbs moisture. After this, the cabbage can be put in the refrigerator.

Thanks to this method of storage, the head of cabbage will remain dry, which means that there will be no humid environment inside the package. The package itself will help the vegetable not to wither.

The paper should be changed once a week so that it does not remain wet for too long, otherwise the vegetable will spoil.

There is another way of storage.

To do this, you need to chop the head of cabbage and freeze it. This method is suitable if the cabbage will only be used for making soups. This option is not suitable for salads.
