When it comes to potty training, the most important thing is not the child’s age, but his psychological and physical readiness.
To understand that your baby is already able to master the “toilet science”, pay attention to the following tips.
1. Defecation occurs “like clockwork”, that is, at approximately the same time.
2. The diaper on the baby remains dry for more than two hours. This means that the baby's bladder muscles are already strong enough to retain liquid.
3. The child shows with his whole appearance that he is not happy to be in a dirty and wet diaper.
4. The baby understands what the words “pee” and “poop” mean.
5. The baby knows the names of body parts and items of clothing.
6. The child tries to undress and dress independently (it’s ideal if he knows how to take off and put on underwear).
7. The baby is able to sit in one position for up to five minutes.
8. The little fidget shows a keen interest in what adults do while in the toilet.
