How to Raise a Genius: 3 Rules That 90% of Parents Break

Every parent dreams of their child becoming outstanding. But what if your efforts are backfiring?

Most moms and dads follow patterns that do not develop, but suppress potential.

They invest money in tutors, clubs and gadgets, but forget about three key rules.

By violating them, they dig a hole from which the child will not be able to get out even in adulthood.

First, don't decide for him. Parents often take on the role of "rescuers": they do homework, choose friends, control every action.

But geniuses do not grow out of those who are accustomed to having everything decided for them.

Give your child the right to make mistakes. Let him figure out why he forgot his notebook or had a fight with a friend. This is the only way he will learn to analyze and find unconventional solutions.

The second rule: don't over-praise. "You're the smartest!", "You're a math genius!" - these phrases kill motivation.

The child begins to be afraid of disappointing you and avoids difficult tasks. Instead, acknowledge the effort: “I see that you spent a long time solving this problem. I am proud of your persistence!” This teaches not to be afraid of difficulties and to value the process, not the grade.

And don't fill every minute. Clubs, courses, training - is your child's schedule scheduled like a top manager's? That's bad!

After all, it is in boredom that creativity is born. When the brain is not busy with ready-made tasks, it begins to invent. Let it stare at the ceiling for hours, dig a stick into the ground, or chat with a cat. This is how the ability to think outside the box is formed.

Geniuses are not those who know more than others. They are those who know how to ask questions, make mistakes, and find non-obvious paths.

Stop "educating" - start observing. Maybe your child is already a genius. You just don't let him show it.
