Parents must respond to children's bad behavior.
If mom and dad ignore the bad behavior of the child, the latter will develop a sense of impunity. It is possible that in such a situation the child will become completely uncontrollable.
However, serious punishments should be abandoned.
You need to punish a child in such a way that he is not offended or scared, but at the same time understands his mistake.
There is a very interesting method. It is called "the corner of calm". This approach is worth paying attention to for parents of small children.
The essence of the "corner of tranquility" technique
To talk about the features of this approach, we must first recall such a classic punishment as “putting” in a corner.
This technique has a huge advantage: the child is distracted from performing the wrong action. A "time-out" begins, during which the child calms down in silence.
But there is also a downside: a child standing in the corner is left alone and without moral support from mom and dad. The baby feels abandoned and humiliated.
In the “corner of peace” technique this drawback is eliminated.
The point is this: the child is not put in a corner, but sent to some quiet room. The parent stays with the child.
As a result, the child calms down and silently analyzes his behavior. The baby does not feel lonely, because mom or dad is nearby.
