Many children love to complain about certain problems.
Almost all parents have heard the following phrases from their sons and daughters at least once: “I’m having a hard time at school,” “We have too much homework,” “I had another fight with my friend,” “I don’t have enough toys,” “My smartphone isn’t working well,” etc.
It is important to understand that in some cases the child is simply being capricious.
In other situations, the baby needs moral support or serious help.
To understand how to proceed further, mom and dad should ask the boy or girl one important question.
What parents should ask their child
The question is: “What exactly do you want - for us to just listen to you or for us to help you solve the problem?”
The child will most likely give a clear and understandable answer to this question.
If the child needs specific help, he will explain to the parents what exactly needs to be done.
But in most cases, the child admits: “I want you to just listen to me.”
In such a situation, the child just needs to speak out. Give your son or daughter this opportunity - and then he/she will feel much better from a psychological point of view.
