It's good if a child has a brother or sister.
But it is important that the relationship between siblings is as trusting as possible.
However, parents raising two or more children often make one serious mistake.
The consequences are not the most pleasant: relationships between children deteriorate, and children face problems in life.
So, what shouldn’t a mom and dad do if they are raising several children at once?
A Dangerous Mistake Parents Make When It Comes to Multiple Children
You can't compare your children. When talking to your son or daughter, you shouldn't say the following phrases:
- "But your brother does it much better!"
- "Got a bad grade again? But your sister is an excellent student!"
- "Your brother is much less of a problem for us!"
Such comparisons are a serious traumatic factor for any child.
He may develop envy or even hatred towards his brother/sister. It is possible that the child will begin to perceive his relative as a competitor for parental love.
It is worth emphasizing that you cannot compare your child with other people’s children: such an approach is fraught with the emergence of serious complexes in the boy or girl.
Earlier we talked about how to help children develop self-confidence.
