It is believed that live communication is very important for parents and children - this is especially relevant at a young age.
It is important to spend time with your child, and do it well if you can’t get it in quantity.
What we mean is that the time spent with your children should be memorable for both of you. This is not possible every day, but once every few months is quite possible.
You should also listen to your children, especially when you feel like the conversation was important to them.
Why You Should Listen to Children
Here are some reasons.
- Formation of healthy self-esteem – the child feels that he is important and interesting.
- Children will develop faster as they become more autonomous and proactive.
- An example of communication - you show them how to communicate (without interrupting and with attention to the interlocutor).
- Problem solving – you will be able to track what is happening in your child’s life that is not going the way he or she wants.
