Many parents are at a loss when their children start screaming and crying.
Moms and dads don’t know how to act correctly in such a situation, so they make gross mistakes.
For example, they tell the baby sharply: “Stop crying!” or “Shut up right now!”
In most cases, such demands only drive the child into even more stress.
Attempts to "bribe" a child are also dangerous. The child will probably come to the conclusion that in order to get a new toy, you just need to throw tantrums.
Luckily, there is a phrase that, when uttered, is likely to calm a boy or girl down.
What phrase are we talking about?
A parent must show their child that they do not judge them.
A rescue phrase can sound different. For example, "I understand that you are sad." Or "I understand why you are angry." Another option: "If I were you, I would be scared too."
In general, you need to describe the feelings that the baby encountered and show that they are completely understandable and there is nothing reprehensible in them.
In this case, the child will come to the conclusion that mom or dad understands and supports him. The tantrum will most likely end.
