3 Phrases a Child Says When Hiding Problems at School

30.08.2023 00:01

Children do not always share all the details of school life with their parents.

Often boys and girls hide certain problems from their mothers and fathers.

A schoolchild is unlikely to want to honestly talk about bad grades and poorly learned material.

In addition, a child may hide from his parents the fact that he is being bullied by his classmates.

However, schoolchildren often “give themselves away” with certain phrases.

What words of a child should never be ignored by parents?

"We weren't given any homework."

A couple of times a term the teacher can actually relieve the children from having to do homework.

But if the child once again assures the parents that nothing was assigned, this is a reason to be wary.

It is possible that the student once missed an important topic and is now unable to solve the problems.

Feeling the pointlessness of doing homework, the child may resort to deception.

In such a situation, it makes sense to check the child’s actual level of knowledge and hire a tutor to catch up.

"I don't want to go to the club"

A child can make such a statement for three reasons. First: he does not like the subject of the additional classes.

The second possible reason: the child has a heavy workload at school.

The third possible reason: the child does not want to meet other children again. It is possible that the boy or girl is being bullied.

"I'm not going anywhere"

If a child constantly refuses additional meetings with classmates (excursions, hikes, sweet table, etc.), then the child most likely has not developed relationships with peers.

Perhaps the student needs serious support, but is afraid to admit it to his parents.
