Children often show obstinacy, not wanting to fulfill their parents' requests and deliberately acting contrary to the opinions of mom and dad.
Sometimes kids are just lazy, not wanting to clean their room, go to the grocery store, or walk the dog.
However, there is one little trick that can make a child obedient.
We are talking about a psychological technique that is very simple, but works in most cases.
The essence of the technique
The child needs to be offered the right choice.
The following option is not suitable: “Are you going to wash the dishes or not?”
But this question can be called correctly asked: “Are you going to wash the dishes or clean the room?”
In other words, the child must be immediately presented with the fact that he will be doing some work.
In such a situation, children usually do not refuse the request and begin to choose one of the proposed actions.
Want to get your kid to sit down to do his homework? Ask him: "Which will you start with right now - with doing your English homework or with solving math problems?"
But you shouldn't ask a question like: "Are you even going to do your homework?" This will only anger the child and provoke procrastination.
