Everyone remembers how an inconspicuous plant with shoots spreading out in different directions – indoor aloe – grew on the windowsill of their grandmother’s apartment.
No one remembers it ever producing flowers, but the plant was carefully watched and tended, calling it very useful.
Roskachestvo expert, endocrinologist of the highest category, candidate of medical sciences, nutritionist Elena Syurakshina, told us how to use aloe with benefit.
Benefits of Aloe
The juice of the plant is used not only in folk but also in traditional medicine.
Aloe contains organic acids (malic acid), amino acids, free carbohydrates (glucose, sucrose and a little fructose), pectins, phenolic compounds, aloin and emodin.
The thickened juice of the plant (sabur) treats chronic constipation, stimulates the esophagus, improves digestion, but in large doses it is toxic.
Sabur is also contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
How to use indoor aloe
Can be used as a medical and cosmetic product.
If the use in medicine is strictly justified, then in cosmetology the plant can be used without fear.
1. Aloe juice can be used instead of post-epilation product.
It can relieve itching, redness and irritation on the skin that occurs after depilation.
2. It is recommended to include the plant juice in your body care products.
3. Effectively deals with dark circles under the eyes (frozen juice), moisturizes and refreshes the skin of the eyelids.
