One of the reasons for severe hangovers during the holidays is overeating.
This was reported by the nutritionist of the SM-Clinic, Elena Ustinova.
The expert's statement is quoted by the publication Gazeta.Ru .
What makes a hangover worse
As Ustinova explained, there are several factors that increase hangovers during the holidays.
Firstly, the quality of the alcoholic beverages consumed plays an important role.
But this does not mean that you can drink a lot of good alcohol.
The more alcohol you drink, the worse you will feel in the morning.
Secondly, you need to remember about individual intolerance to certain alcoholic beverages.
For example, cognac and red wine cause a more severe hangover in some people.
In addition, one of the reasons for a severe hangover is overeating, the nutritionist noted.
According to her, large amounts of carbohydrates, salt and fat increase the load on the liver, worsening intoxication.
To get rid of a hangover, you should drink as much liquid as possible. You can also take medications with succinic acid.
