Vladimir Neronov, a candidate of medical sciences and gastroenterologist at JSC Meditsina, told us how to ease a hangover.
His recommendations are cited by the Izvestia publication.
How to get rid of a hangover
As Neronov explained, a hungover morning should start with a cup of black coffee or green tea without sugar.
You should avoid coffee with milk or sugar, as they can irritate the stomach, the specialist explained.
Secondly, a very effective hangover remedy is regular pickle juice.
The doctor advised to consume it in small portions throughout the day.
If there are no problems with blood vessels, you can take a contrast shower. A walk in the fresh air will also not hurt.
As for breakfast, it should be light. For example, you can eat oatmeal with water and fruit.
You can also eat light soup. Avoid fatty foods, drink enough water.
The doctor does not recommend having a hangover cure. According to him, this can increase alcohol dependence.
Constant morning hangover is one of the signs of alcohol addiction, and not a way to combat a hangover, said Neronov.
