It seems that no normal person would do two things in hot weather: eat hot and fatty borscht and take a hot bath.
You can argue about each issue endlessly. In the first case, it is a matter of taste, and in the second, the idea is not without common sense.
On this topic, relevant studies were conducted in the scientific community, during which more than 5,300 previously conducted studies were analyzed.
The results of this large-scale work were reported in the journal Sleep Medicine Reviews.
Oddly enough, the benefits of hot baths in hot weather have been scientifically proven.
Benefits of a Hot Bath
Mainly, taking a hot bath promotes healthy sleep. But for this, you need to do the procedure 90 minutes before going to bed.
The water temperature is also important – ideally 40-43 degrees Celsius.
It has been proven that after swimming people fell asleep on average 10 minutes faster.
At the same time, taking a cool bath, as well as a cool shower before bed, has the opposite effect.
Low temperatures cause the synthesis of the hormones cortisol and norepinephrine.
Therefore, a cool shower in the evening can be compared to drinking caffeine.
