Children love to taste snowflakes while playing and watching the snowfall.
It may seem like it is dangerous to your health.
But is this really true?
The answer to this question was given by Dr. Elena Chernenko, reports Doctor Peter .
The specialist noted that it is practically impossible to get poisoned by pure snow.
However, she noted that the risk of severe poisoning could occur if one tastes snow within city limits, where reagents, salt and other harmful substances may be used to clear roads.
In addition, the therapist emphasized that licking icicles that are located in the city is also prohibited.
They may appear clean and safe, but they may contain harmful impurities that are invisible to the eye.
Chernenko also added that she does not recommend allowing children to taste snow and ice in the forest.
She explained that the snow may contain excrement from wild animals, which could ultimately lead to unpleasant diseases.
Previously, doctors explained whether it is possible to catch a cold if you catch snowflakes with your mouth.
