Not everyone decides to repeat the procedure, believing that this will result in serious radiation exposure. But is this true?
Pulmonologist Anton Kazennov answered this question in a conversation with RIA Novosti .
As the doctor noted, the procedure can be done up to 11 times a year, if there is such a need.
The specialist also added that lung x-rays can be done 6 to 11 times.
In addition, Kazennov added in a conversation with journalists that the radiation dose may be indicated on the conclusion after undergoing an X-ray. As the doctor emphasized, the norm per year is 1 microsievert, and one procedure is usually equal to 0.09 to 0.18 MZV.
As for fluorography, which is a screening test, during one procedure a person receives a radiation dose of 0.05 mSv.
