Instead of turning to fortune tellers and psychics who give very vague predictions about the future, scientists offer a more effective way to check the chances of longevity.

In order to check how long a person will live, it is enough to do one exercise.

A simple exercise can predict a person's chances of living a long life, researchers report in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology.

There is no need to go up or down stairs with stopwatches in hand. The entire test is performed within one room.

What needs to be done

So, in order to check how long a person will live, scientists suggest sitting with crossed legs (like a yoga pose) and then getting up from this position.

The exercise is performed without the use of hands.

What is the point?

Observations were conducted over a period of 3 years on a group of adult volunteers aged 51-80 years.

According to observations, people who perform such movements without much stress and effort live significantly longer.

At the very least, the ability to perform the exercise suggests that the risk of these people experiencing frequent and dangerous falls in the future is minimal.

At most, this indicates good health. Experts note that sitting on the floor in this position allows you to balance your body and engages a special group of muscles.
