Most modern people eat fast carbohydrates for breakfast, which lead to an immediate increase in blood glucose levels and an equally immediate drop. Hence, fatigue and drowsiness.

What to Cook for Breakfast to Get an Energy Boost
In order for the energy to rise and fall slowly, it is necessary to eat food that has a balance of the three main components of nutrition - proteins, fats and carbohydrates. All of them should be present on the plate.
It's good to cook for breakfast:
- Porridges (regular, not instant). They contain so-called slow carbohydrates, which take a long time to break down and provide a longer-lasting energy boost. Porridges also contain vitamins and minerals that our body needs.
- Vegetable and/or animal fats. It is fats that are the source of energy. It is not without reason that peasant families always ate lard. Butter and ghee are also a source of animal fat. Nuts, seeds, and avocados contain a lot of vegetable oil.
- Fish, poultry, legumes. These products are a source of protein. You can also eat red meat in the morning, for example, a chop or a cutlet, but remember that red meat takes a long time to digest. And the body spends a lot of energy on digesting food.
- Vegetables. Fiber, vitamins and minerals play an important role in maintaining high energy levels.
- Greens. It is recommended to eat greens always and in large quantities. In addition to vitamins and minerals, it contains chlorophyll - a substance that detoxifies the body.
