It is important to maintain water balance and drink the required amount of liquid per day.

Lack of water or dehydration is harmful to a person at any age.

But this poses a particular danger to older women and men.

The symptoms of illness for them will be more vivid. Usually, with a lack of water, weakness, lethargy, and headaches begin.

Dermatologist Tatyana Romanenko spoke about this in more detail, writes “ Moscow 24 ”.

She explained that when there is a lack of fluid, the body rebuilds itself, but not in an elderly person. The vessels stop being elastic, there is no redistribution of blood, the brain suffers.

She also noted that the volume of water must be calculated individually.

You need to start from body weight.

For every kilogram of weight, 20-30 ml of water should be used. If it is hot outside and a person sweats actively, then the amount of liquid should be increased.
