Kissing is an integral part of the life of a couple in love. This is how you can show your feelings and care for your partner.

But, as we know, this is not only a pleasant ritual, but also a way of transmitting some diseases. Doctor Tatyana Kogut told the details.

“One of the most common is the herpes simplex virus type 1,” Gazeta.Ru quotes the doctor as saying.

Most people are carriers of herpes, but it can be transmitted in case of an exacerbation, when a small painful blister appears near the lips and provokes unpleasant sensations.

Kissing someone during this period is definitely not a good idea.

In addition, as the specialist noted, infectious mononucleosis is transmitted through kissing.

In this case, a person feels tired, has a sore throat, loses appetite, and the lymph nodes swell. Most often, this risk group includes people aged 15 to 30 years.

The list doesn't end there.

Naturally, ARVI, coronavirus, flu, etc. are transmitted. But here the disease can be transmitted even if the sick person simply talks in the same room with a healthy person.

Doctor Kogut recommended paying close attention not only to your own condition, but also to your partner's health. If there are symptoms of a cold or other illness, it is better to refrain from kissing for a while.
