The eyelash extension procedure is gaining popularity. Every year, more and more women decide to give up mascara and choose to spend a few hours in a specialist's office to get lush eyelashes.

But this procedure is not suitable for everyone.

This should be taken into account if you want to go and get eyelash extensions.

Ophthalmologist Elena Aboimov spoke about this in more detail.

She urged people who have already encountered eye diseases to refuse extensions. In case of inflammation, hormonal changes and allergies, it is also necessary to stop going to this procedure.

After all, the process involves close contact with the eyes. The slightest damage in this area can cause irritation. If there is already inflammation, it can only complicate the situation.

"If there are ophthalmological diseases, the eyes often water and turn red, or there is a feeling of dryness and burning, you must first get treatment. And only after therapy, bring beauty," Moscow 24 quotes the doctor as saying.

The doctor also told about when there is no need to sign up for the procedure if there are no health problems. She emphasized that it is worth postponing the extension in situations when a woman is menstruating, as well as in the case of pregnancy, breastfeeding or hormone therapy.
