Experts from Tsinghua University have concluded that sweet drinks not only negatively affect weight or dental health, but also lead to baldness.
The corresponding publication was published in the journal Nutrients .
As the scientists noted, volunteers took part in the work. 1951 men aged 18 to 45 years completed the survey.
Doctors examined their physical and mental health and monitored their diet.
Ultimately, the researchers found a link between baldness and drinking sugar-sweetened beverages.
Too much sugar, it turns out, can activate metabolic pathways that reduce the amount of glucose available to the epidermal cells of the outer layer of hair follicles, leading to baldness.
Post-traumatic stress disorder had a greater impact on hair loss.
