Not all toothpastes sold in stores are safe for health.
Russian doctor Irina Kornilina warned about this.
The expert told the publication Gazeta.Ru which components should not be in toothpaste.

What Shouldn't Be in Toothpaste
Firstly, the antibacterial substance triclosan is dangerous.
According to research, triclosan disrupts hormonal balance and promotes the development of resistant bacteria.
In a number of countries, this substance has already been banned from being added to cosmetics.
Secondly, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), which is responsible for foam formation.
Reduces the protective functions of the oral cavity, making gums and teeth more vulnerable to bacteria.
SLS can also cause dry mouth, irritation of the mucous membrane, and allergies.
Thirdly, you should not buy toothpaste that contains titanium dioxide (E171).
It is a bleaching pigment. Research shows that this substance accumulates in tissues and causes inflammation.
