One day, a gardener realizes that it is better to overpay for a quality product, but get guaranteed shoots and a quality harvest, than to guess on coffee grounds whether the seed will sprout or not.
This is something that dishonest sellers are happy to take advantage of.
We'll tell you what tricks you need to know when going to buy seeds so you don't have to pay twice.
1. If you see a future inscription on the packaging, like “hit of the 2025 season,” then this is nothing more than a marketing ploy.
2. Varieties are bred specifically for climatic conditions, resistance to diseases or pests, and so on.
But the most important thing is that the variety must be adapted to your region, soil characteristics, temperature conditions, and so on.
3. The colorful pictures of a fantastic harvest are just the imagination of the designer who worked on the packaging.
At the same time, high-quality seeds are often sold in the most nondescript packaging.
Be sure to check for information about the manufacturer, sowing conditions, production date and shelf life of the seeds.
