1. Olive oil retains its beneficial properties at a temperature of +5 …+24 °C. However, after opening the bottle, the shelf life is 1 month. After 30 days, even expensive oil will become a concentration of toxic substances.
2. A closed cabinet is the best place to store olive oil. It is better to choose the lower cabinet, because it is cooler there. Experts advise storing spices and herbs away from oil.
3. Some housewives value practicality and love to have everything at hand. That's why they put the oil near the stove. However, this is not the best idea. Firstly, temperature changes. Secondly, the place is well lit.
In this case, there is a compromise. You can pour some of the oil, which will last for about 7 days, into a small container of dark glass. But you should still keep it away from heat sources.
