Three myths about cats that people still believe have been debunked: maybe you are one of them

It would seem that in the age of cybernetics and nuclear energy there should be no myths left that people could still believe in.

However, there are people who continue to indulge themselves with pseudoscientific data. One category of myths they continue to believe in is myths about cats.

Experts have debunked three of the most ridiculous of them.

Cats are selfish

Many argue that a cat is a proud, independent and selfish creature that returns to a person only when it needs something from him.

The most common reasons cited are heat and food.

This is not true. It has been proven that animals love their owners.

If a person cannot build a trusting relationship with a pet, then the cat will definitely not come to him, no matter what he feeds it.

Cats are resilient

Many people still believe that a sick cat just needs to be left alone and everything will go away on its own.

This is only true if we are talking about a cold or something similar.

A cat that refuses food and water due to illness is unlikely to recover while lying under the bathtub or in a secluded corner.

Cats are stupid

Of all domestic animals, dogs are considered to be the closest to humans in character and behavior.

Dogs are more often trained, coached, taught commands, and made into protectors and guards.

Cats are inferior in this sense only in the capacity of guards and protectors and only because of their size.

Therefore, it cannot be said that cats are dumber than dogs.

They just have a different behavior model.
