Dogs have an excellent appetite and are ready to eat whatever their owner treats them to.

However, in some cases, owners of four-legged pets need to be more careful. You need to be especially careful if the dish contains mushrooms.

Why dogs shouldn't be given mushrooms, writes Iz.ru with reference to the head of the Russian Cynological Federation Vladimir Golubev.

Mushrooms can cause poisoning and allergies in dogs.

If a pie, casserole or other dish contains a small piece of mushroom, then nothing bad will happen.

But you shouldn’t expect that mushrooms will be as beneficial to your pet as they are to humans.

They are quite difficult for a dog's digestive system to digest.

Heat-treated mushrooms do not pose a serious health hazard to your pet, which cannot be said about raw ones.

At the very least, you should expect digestive problems, but in general, raw mushrooms can cause poisoning.

Dog owners should be especially careful with poisonous mushrooms.

At the first suspicion, your pet should be shown to a veterinarian.

Symptoms such as weakness, vomiting, diarrhea, and convulsions should be a cause for concern.
