Experts point out several reasons to start feeding your dog vegetables and even fruits.

This type of nutrition is beneficial to the animal’s body, allows it to remove waste and toxins, and also replenish the lack of nutrients.

Here are some useful substances that can be introduced into your pet's diet by including fruits and vegetables.

1. Pectin

This substance helps remove waste and toxins, absorbs harmful substances and is available to anyone.

Pectin is found in vegetables, fruits, greens and seaweed.

2. Fiber

It also helps cleanse the body. It does not dissolve and removes fats, toxins, slows down the digestion process, which allows you to regulate your pet's appetite and fight excess weight.

What to feed

Both pectin and fiber are found in carrots and cabbage, sweet peppers, beets, as well as cucumbers, zucchini and pumpkin.

You can also give your dog unsweetened apples and greens.

All vegetables and fruits are given raw, except for beets and pumpkin. It is recommended to boil or stew them.

It is not recommended to include sweet fruits in your dog's diet.

But if the dog's diet consists of high-quality food, then the vegetable and fruit menu can be excluded.
