Do dogs need vegetables?

Vegetables are the main source of fiber and pectin. Due to the lack of vegetables, chronic diseases such as atherosclerosis, diabetes and other diseases of internal organs develop.

But even in this case, in a normal situation, vegetables should make up 8-10% of the daily diet.

What vegetables can you give to a dog

1. Potatoes. Up to 90% is absorbed, can be added to soup, made into mashed potatoes, can be used instead of cereals.

2. Cabbage, carrots and beets can also be used to make soups. They are good for digestion.

It is even recommended to give raw carrots to puppies to massage their gums.

3. Pumpkin is used as a base for soups and porridges. For digestive problems, puree with yogurt is prepared.

4. You can also give garden greens and young nettles. The latter should be chopped and kept in hot water.

Remember that an adult dog can be given up to 100 grams of vegetables or up to 200 grams of potatoes per day. However, we can only talk about healthy eating if the diet has been prescribed and selected by a specialist.
