Love lives for 3 years, this is a general phrase that has nothing to do with reality.

Psychologist Ulyana Timoshenko explained why people love each other.

When people talk about love, they often mean falling in love, and falling in love does tend to last for several years.

Falling in love is a cocktail of strong emotions: oxytocin, dopamine, endorphins, when partners have a very strong attraction to each other. Falling in love really does pass within one to three years. And falling in love may not develop into love.

What is love? And why do people love each other?

This is a rather complex question of a philosophical nature. Love, compared to infatuation, is considered a more mature and conscious feeling. Love can develop over several years.

In fact, love is also a biologically based mechanism. For procreation, not only attraction is important: sexual intercourse, but also the attachment of partners to each other for raising offspring.

People form pairs to procreate and function harmoniously: it is important for people to feel care, support, and love.

A large number of studies have been conducted, including longitudinal studies that have studied people throughout their entire lives, and it has been found that one of the most important factors for the happiness category is precisely high-quality love relationships.

Love gives a person a sense of significance, a sense of importance, a sense of fulfillment and joy.

But it is very important that this is the love of two whole individuals, when people build their relationships, having their hobbies, their interests, their passions.

And then, of course, they form some new interests, a new social circle, but in the event of a breakdown, they can continue to live.

Movies, songs, and literature are filled with vivid examples of codependent relationships, when a person cannot imagine his life without the other, and in a relationship he either completely dissolves in the other partner or completely absorbs him.

In codependent relationships we see examples of domestic violence, alcohol addiction and pathological jealousy...

Love is a wonderful thing, but for everyone this word has its own meaning.

If we look at the general characteristics, then love is the desire and intention of two people to unite their lives: to go through joys and difficulties together, some moments, raise children, take care of someone, share experience, run a household together, have some common spiritual values, but most importantly - the mood to be together!
