Having grown healthy seedlings, summer residents still have one more issue to solve: transplanting them into beds or a greenhouse.
The challenge is not only to ensure that the plants do not suffer during transplantation.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", an agronomist and landscape designer, told what rules should be followed in this case.
1. Heat-loving nightshades and cucumbers are replanted when the soil at a depth of 10 cm warms up to 15 degrees Celsius.
2. If the weather is cloudy, then the seedlings are planted in the beds in the morning. If the sun is bright, then in the evening, otherwise the plants will wither.
3. After transplanting, you need to cover the plants with film or spunbond.
1. About a month before transplanting, the soil is disinfected with a solution of copper sulfate (10 liters of water at about 80 degrees Celsius, 1 tbsp. of the preparation). Consumption is 1.5 liters per 1 sq. m.
2. Then, 3-4 kg of humus (peat), 1 glass of wood ash, 1 tbsp of superphosphate and potassium sulfate are scattered per 1 sq. m. of the bed.
3. After this, the beds are dug up.
If the seedlings grew in peat pots or tablets, then they are planted in holes with containers.
The remaining containers are cut and removed from the box using a scoop or spoon.
Before transporting, plants are watered to make the journey easier.
The seedlings are fed 10 days before transplanting.
