With the arrival of spring, many summer residents begin to study the issue of soil cultivation.
An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh commented on one of the methods of soil disinfection, for which it is proposed to use citric acid.
This method is positioned as effective and cost-effective.
To do this, it is suggested to dissolve 2 tablespoons of lemon juice in a liter of warm water and water the entire area with the solution.
It is believed that citric acid will help defeat plant diseases and pests.
What is the reality? It turns out that this assumption has nothing to do with reality.
Citric acid is not able to kill pathogenic bacteria, fungi or harmful insects.
Moreover, the cheapness of the method should be questioned: just imagine how much acid you will need to water the entire garden, given the fact that the water from a watering can is only enough to wet the soil to a depth of 1-2 cm (if you pour it on an area of 1 square meter).
Earlier we talked about how to feed garlic in the spring.
