If the weather in your area was dry without much rain, then it is recommended to do a moisture-charging irrigation for the trees in your garden.

But it is better to do it now, since usually water is poured no later than mid-November.

It is also important to look at the weather to ensure there are no severe frosts in the coming days.

Let's pay attention to the general recommendations of the expert of the online publication "Belnovosti" and agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh.

How to perform moisture-charging irrigation

For high-quality and deep watering, it is recommended to drill holes up to 100 cm deep around the perimeter of the crown.

Water should be poured in such a way that puddles do not accumulate on the site.

Watering rates for different trees:

  • 3-5 years – 50-80 liters;
  • 7-10 years – 120-150 liters;
  • over 10 years of age – 150-200 liters.

Moisture-charging irrigation not only provides the roots with moisture, but also prevents soil freezing.
