If you have had a rolled up and once beloved (but now not) carpet lying on your balcony for several years, it’s time to declutter.
Take the rug under your arm and head to the dacha – you will definitely find it useful here.
An old carpet is a great base for a hammock, and today we’ll tell you how to make one.
In addition to a piece of flooring, you will need a few other small items: a thick needle, strong thread, an awl, metal pipes, cord and a piece of garden hose.
Wrap the edge of the material around the metal pipe, then carefully stitch it with thread, securely fastening the fabric.
Exactly the same operation will have to be repeated on the opposite side of the carpet.
Pass the cord through the pipe and place a piece of hose at the point of contact - this way you can use rubber to protect the threads from fraying.
That's it - the hammock is ready to be hung somewhere in the shade and used for relaxing in those rare but pleasant moments free from dacha chores.
