What product increases soil fertility: it costs pennies, but the harvest will be the envy of your neighbors
The condition of the soil needs to be monitored and it is not a fact that constant application of fertilizers will benefit the fertile layer.
Mineral additives lead to soil nitration, and some types of organic matter breed pests and weeds. There is no joy in this.
There is one remedy that allows you to increase soil fertility without consequences, and the harvest will be the envy of all your neighbors.
Farming errors, not only errors in fertilizer dosage, can harm the fertile soil layer. A similar effect occurs if crop rotation rules are not followed.
In this case, the soil quickly becomes depleted. Weather factors – frosts and strong winds – do not have the best effect.
Liming will help maintain the fertile composition of the soil.
In this way, summer residents solve the main problem – high acidity, because of which nothing grows in the beds.
To normalize, it is enough to add 500 grams of slaked lime per square meter of soil.
If it is only necessary to reduce this indicator, then 200-300 grams of the additive are added.
For the same purpose, chalk is used, which, in case of high acidity, is added at a rate of 300 to 700 grams per square meter.
At average rates 200-600 grams are required. At low rates 100-400 grams.
A much more noticeable effect can be achieved by adding dolomite flour, which normalizes acidity and acts as a fertilizer.
But some plants do not tolerate liming.
Therefore, where legumes, pumpkins and cucumbers, carrots and tomatoes, as well as small greens will grow, liming can be carried out no later than a year before their planting.
