There are now many chemical-based products on sale that can be used to quickly rid currant bushes of powdery mildew.
But alas, not all of these preparations are safe. We tell you how to rid currants of powdery mildew without harming the plants.
The simplest remedy is a solution of potassium permanganate. For 10 liters of water you need only 0.5 teaspoon of the substance.
It is enough to treat the bushes with a solution of potassium permanganate once a week.
A solution based on ash and soap also helps well. A kilogram of sifted ash should be poured into 10 liters of water and left for three to four days, stirring occasionally.
Next, add 2 tablespoons of grated soap, filter the solution and you can process it.
Another effective remedy is a kefir-based solution.
The fermented milk drink should be mixed with water in a ratio of 1:10. The bushes should be treated with a kefir solution for 3 days in a row, once a day.
