Strawberries are a capricious and finicky crop, the care of which requires a lot of time and effort.

The taste of berries depends largely on growing conditions.

How to water strawberries correctly

Strawberries will react sharply to improper watering. Excess moisture will cause the berries to spoil, they will become watery and sour.

Lack of water will cause the berries to become crushed and lose sweetness and juiciness.

Strawberry roots cannot get moisture from the deep layers of soil, while the large leaves of the plant actively evaporate moisture.

For normal plant development, the soil in the beds must be constantly moistened and it is important to know how to do this correctly.

The bushes are watered either early in the morning or in the evening so that the moisture does not evaporate quickly. Watering during the day will not bring the desired result.

In the morning, strawberries are watered an hour before the sun starts to shine. The plant should be watered so that water does not fall on the leaves, otherwise "burns" may appear.

If the weather is rainy, it is advisable to cover the bushes with agrofilm, which will protect the strawberries from over-watering and fungal infections.
