On Tuesday, December 10, something unexpected happened to the dollar.
The American currency returned to growth in Belarus after seven consecutive losses.
The Russian ruble also surprised: it suffered its first defeat since November 29.
The Chinese yuan also showed an unexpected result: a sharp rise in price after a long losing streak.
According to data presented on the website of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange, the main currencies showed the following results today:
The dollar, which had been falling non-stop from November 29 to December 9, managed to return to growth today.
The increase was 0.0274 points, or 0.81 percent.
But the euro suffered a defeat: minus 0.0204 points, or 0.57 percent. Thus, the single European currency failed to strengthen for the second time in a row.
The Russian ruble, which had previously beaten the Belarusian currency 7 times in a row, lost 0.37 percent today.
The yuan strengthened for the first time since early December, up 1.03 percent.
