Sweets ruin your teeth and figure, and it would be nice to put an end to this, but no.

Scientists have proven that uncontrolled sugar consumption increases the risk of developing heart problems.

A small amount of sweets cannot harm the health of the cardiovascular system, Gazeta.ru reports, citing experts.

But the abuse of sweet drinks is fraught with consequences.

The studies examined the effects of sugar consumption in the form of additives (including honey and syrups), confectionery, as well as soda and juices.

It turned out that it was the passion for soda and juices that increased the risk of getting:

  • ischemic stroke,
  • heart failure,
  • atrial fibrillation,
  • abdominal aortic aneurysm.

Even the consumption of confectionery products did not bring the cardiovascular system to such a sad state.

At the same time, it was possible to find out that people who limit their consumption of sugar in its pure form had a very high risk of developing problems with the heart and blood vessels.

This is presumably due to the strict diet that has to be followed due to identified health problems.
